How Islam Defines Faith and True Mean of Worship?

The Creator’s Divine Guidance in Quran:

As we discussed before, about the Uumbaji wa wanadamu katika umbo la jozi, jinsi miili yao dhaifu ilivyosababisha utegemezi na ukuaji wao duniani ulileta changamoto nyingi za kijamii pamoja na migogoro ya kidini, na kwa nini Muumba alituma mwongozo kupitia malaika kwa watu walioteuliwa (Manabii) ili kuwaongoza wanadamu.

“Watu walikuwa wa dini moja [jamii]. Na Allah aliwatuma mitume wakiwa wabashiri wa khabari njema na waonyaji, na akateremsha pamoja nao Kitabu kwa haki ili kuhukumu baina ya watu kuhusu yale waliyokuwa wakikhitalifiana…” Al-Baqarah (2:213)

1. Walifundisha nini kuhusu imani? Kusudi la imani sahihi ni nini?

Kila Mtume alifundisha kuhusu Tawhid (Worship one God for Unity), Imani kwa Muumba mmoja asiyeonekana ambaye aliwaumba wanadamu na akafanya maisha haya kuwa mtihani wa kurekodi matendo ya kila mtu. Na baada ya kifo, siku ya hukumu, atawafufua wote ili kuwajibika, akiwazawadia wale waliotenda mema kwa wengine na kuwadhibu wale waliotenda mabaya kwa wengine, na hivyo kuwaleta katika maisha yasiyoweza kufikirika na ya milele katika Akhera – kwa heshima kuu ya kukutana na Bwana wao.

Maisha, kifo, kumbukumbu na matendo yanayofanana, pamoja na athari zake kwa wanadamu wengine, ni dalili wazi za Ufufuo.

Lengo la Imani Sahihi:

  • Umoja wa Mungu: Builds unity, equality, and peace in society. Prevents misgudances, divisions and injustice caused by false beliefs.
  • Fear of afterlife accountability: Huunda uwajibikaji binafsi, hata katika matendo ya faragha.
  • Matumaini ya thawabu ya milele katika maisha ya baada ya kifo Huhimiza matendo mema na huleta amani na haki maishani.

Ndiyo maana Shirk (anashirikiana na Muumba Mmoja) is unforgivable sin in Islam, it is main root of misguidance, divisions, long term instabilities in a society.
For Example – A man lives with wrongdoings, driven by wrong belief, and build a chain by influencing others by his words/action. Till his death he didn’t break that wrong chain by reflecting/accepting/declaring himself wrong, for other’s safies. As a result, their influence continues beyond their lifetime, becoming a source of ongoing misguidance for others.

Waliwafundisha Uwepo wa Muumba Haionekani wakati wa jaribio, hivyo maisha ya kijamii hayaongozwi moja kwa moja kwa nguvu au hofu. Amini Muumba mmoja tu kwa kuona ishara zake katika asili. Pia, Muumba tayari ameweka imani ya kweli katika mioyo ya wanadamu na hisia za kweli na uongo kwa ajili ya kujihukumu wenyewe.

  1. Sema, “Yeye ni Allah, Mmoja. Allah, Kimbilio la milele. Hakuzaa, wala hakuzaliwa, wala hakuna anayefanana naye.‘ Al-Ikhlas (112)
  2. “Na shikamaneni kwa kamba ya Allah nyote kwa pamoja, wala msiigawanyike…” Aal-e-Imran (3:103)
  3. | “Kwa nafsi na Yeye aliyeiumba, na kuipa hamasa ya uovu wake na wema wake, hakika amefanikiwa yule anayeitakasa.” Ash-Shams (91:7–9)
  4. Hakika, Allah hasamehe Shirk (kumshirikisha Allah),…“ An-Nisa (4:116)
  5. Enyi mlioamini! Epukeni dhana nyingi. Hakika, baadhi ya dhana ni dhambi….“ Nyumba za Kifungwa (49:12)
  6. Na usifuate kile ambacho huna maarifa nacho....“ Al-Isra (17:36)
  7. Na kama miti yote duniani ingekuwa kalamu na bahari ikawa wino, na bahari saba zaidi zikaongezwa, maneno ya Allah yasiyekwisha. Hakika, Allah ni Mwenyezi, Mwenye Hekima.“ Al-Luqman (31:27)
  8. Hakika, katika mbingu na ardhi kuna dalili kwa waumini. Na katika uumbaji wenu, na katika viumbe vyovyote alivyovieneza, kuna dalili kwa watu wenye imani ya hakika.“ Al-Jathiya (45:3–4)
  9. Na wanakuuliza kuhusu Roho (ar-Rūḥ). Sema: Roho ni wa masuala ya Mola wangu. Na wanadamu hawakuwahi kupewa elimu isipokuwa kidogo tu.“ Al-Isra 17:85

True Meaning of Worship?

True meaning of worship is – purifying thoughts, souls, and actions by praising One Creator for everything with patience and gratitude, while seeking forgiveness for own ignorance and mistakes with humility. In the same way as Quran described.

“Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but true righteousness is in one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets; who gives wealth ‘despite loving it’ to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask, and for freeing slaves; who establishes prayer and gives zakāh; who keeps their promises when they make them; and those who are patient in hardship, suffering, and during battle. Those are the ones who are truthful, and it is they who are the righteous.” — Al-Baqarah 2:177
